Subject: Who Is Kidding Who, Er Whom?
Of all the disturbing pieces in the paper recently, the one by Thomas E. Ricks and Robin Wright is really frightening.
Civil War in Iraq Near, Annan Says: Study Group Begins Two-Day Meeting (Washington Post)
Mr. Ricks' reporting deserves respect for its accuracy and his refusal to try to placate either party. Mr. Ricks knows his job is to give his readers the facts and let them make their own decisions. He treats us as adults. How unusual!
Mr. Ricks' article in the Washington Post this morning (11/28/06) contained a phrase that is almost beyond belief. According to Mr. Ricks and Ms. Wright:
Saudi Arabia is so concerned about the damage that the conflict in Iraq is doing across the region that it basically summoned Vice President Cheney for talks over the weekend, according to U.S. officials and foreign diplomats. The visit was originally portrayed as U.S. outreach to its oil-rich Arab ally.
Saudi Arabia “basically summoned” the Vice-President of the United States and he scurried to obey them? This “macho” man who tries to portray Democrats as weaklings scurries to obey the King of Saudi Arabia like some naughty little school boy? We all thought Cheney was the puppet-master behind the little Pinhead in the White House. Seems the real puppet-master resides in Saudi Arabia.
What a hoot! Too bad the rabid little war-mongering Republican base won’t believe this. If they did, their pointy little heads would explode.
The rest of us, while dismayed, are not surprised at anything that comes out of this administration. Meanwhile, the base can continue to believe that the “real” enemy in the War on Terror is the Democrats. You couldn’t write a book about most of this stuff. It just wouldn’t be believable.
Although every ounce of my being cries for impeachment for both Bush and Cheney, my mind says don't do it. If they were both impeached and convicted, Nancy Pelosi -- the woman who basically is responsible for bringing charges -- becomes president. If that does not appear to be a conflict of interest, then nothing does.
Let them remain in power, let's make sure the democrats remain in power, and then go after the "dastardly duo" when they leave office.
This is where I want to slap him right across the face. In my opinion, it is not Al Qaeda that is responsible, but another terrorist organization known as the Necons who are responsible for this civil war.
RIGA, Latvia - President Bush said Tuesday that an al-Qaida plot to stoke cycles of sectarian revenge in Iraq is to blame for escalating bloodshed, refusing to debate whether the country has fallen into civil war.
"There's a lot of sectarian violence taking place — fomented, in my opinion, because of the attacks by al-Qaida causing people to seek reprisal," Bush said at a news conference with Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves during a stop in Estonia.

RIGA, Latvia (AP) -- President Bush, under pressure to change direction in Iraq, said Tuesday he will not be persuaded by any calls to withdraw American troops before the country is stabilized.
Excuse me, did I miss something? I know Bush has always wanted to be a dictator. When did he become one in fact? I do believe we just had an election that showed that the majority of the citizens of this nation wanted this damn war over and our troops home and safe. How about it, Democrats? Is this nation a dictatorship now?
Subject: Why Bush Refuses To Admit Iraq Is In a Civil War
The last thing that Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and the Neocons want to do is admit that Iraq is in a Civil War.
If they did, Bush would have to take his "Mission Accomplished" sign down, Cheney would have to admit that we were "Clearly NOT In The Last Throes" and Rumsfeld would have to admit that the war would last LONGER Than "Six Days, Six Weeks and Definitely Much Longer Than Six Months"! Oh, and don't forget all the "Liberator" flowers that the Neocons would have to return to the flower shops after the Iraqis sent them.

Subject: Should We Impeach Bush?
My opinion is, yes, it will take up much valuable time we need in the congress to do a lot of work there on restoring our country and our constitution. Perhaps we might even get lucky and get the required senate vote to impeach.
In fact, it would probably be a good idea to get rid of all of this present administration, to be honest with you. He and his gang can do a lot of damage in two years and we all know how fast and secretive he is and lets us know about it when it is already done, you know.
I am not for turning our country into another banana republic. They are all New World Order type dictatorships and just the poor with no real middle class population. It's the same old story, that type of new world order has been with us for a very very long, long, time, read history and also the news of the day, we see it every single day, there is nothing new about a police state.

Subject: We Gotcha Now, Mr. President
By way of the Kucinich bill that cuts off all funding for the Iraq war, because Congress passes this bill and right away the troops come home, and, naturally, they'll be asking what it was that they fought and died for. And no matter how much you hem and haw, that'll be it for you, Mr. President, with impeachment sure to follow. What the heck, did you really think you'd never get caught?

Subject: Jenna, Barbara and Weathervane McCain
While the children of other fathers and mothers die in agony and horror, the Bush Twinz are flouncing around Argentina -- whooping it up and having a good ol' time. Maybe they are in search of their third stooge! After all, Daddy is wealthy and it's not as though these cute li'l debutantes will ever have to make their own way in life. You can easily see why the "Death Tax" must be eliminated.
In the meantime, please don't worry about the safety of dear Jenna and Barbara; the American Secret Service is watching out for their safety. And they are using the tax dollars of those same bereaved parents and children and friends of the daughters and sons whose lives were snuffed out. They died because Jenna's and Barbara's wealthy daddy can't seem to ever tell the truth!
Meanwhile, here in Arizona, our senator, John "Weathervane" McCain, wants to send more of your children and grandchildren to Iraq so that his seven children can go about their business. He'll probably change his mind after a couple of months and a few thousand more bodies. He's been known to change his tune faster than you can say, "Keating Five!"
The preceding has been brought to you by the American "Conservatives" and the Republican Party.
Those globe-trotting twins Barbara and Jenna Bush continued their Argentine birthday getaway Sunday with shopping and soccer.
The sisters, who turned 25 on Saturday, popped up Sunday morning in the Buenos Aires antiques market at Plaza Dorrego in trendy San Telmo (the same district where a thief nabbed Barbara's purse and cellphone while she dined last week). ...
After the purse-snatching, which sparked a media frenzy throughout South America, the Argentine interior minister told reporters, "From now on, we are participating actively" in protecting the twins. ...
Barbara left the country late Sunday night; plans called for Jenna to party on until Thursday.

Subject: Today's LA Times - NBC To Use 'Civil War' To Describe Iraq
... and beneath that: "It's the first TV network to adopt the term. Bush has fought its use."
"Fought it's use" meaning that he prevented the truth from getting out. Which in a democracy is strictly a no-no. What happens next? Well, one by one, the other networks are going to fall in line and use civil war in describing Iraq. Fox news even comes around. Then at a hastily called press conference, our president announces that "Civil war is our ultimate victory because the Iraqis will be so busy killing off one another that none of them will be available for committing acts of terrorism here in America. And since we went to war to keep the homeland safe and secure, I hereby declare that we have won."
