Seth Adler is coordinator of The Left Forum, which attracts 3,000 participants at its annual conference in New York City. He was a founder of the national Jobs With Peace Campaign. He taught courses in sociology, community studies and political economy at the University of California at Santa Cruz and at New College of California and has taught social movements/civic participation at Pace University in New York City. A native of Northern California and single parent for many years, he earned a Ph.D. in sociology from UC Santa Cruz. He was a longtime activist and writer in San Francisco.
