David Palumbo-Liu is professor of comparative literature at Stanford University. He has published widely on literary criticism and theory, race and ethnicity, cultural studies, and Asia Pacific American studies. His two recent books are a co-edited collection, "Immanuel Wallerstein and the Problem of the World: System, Scale, Culture" (Duke University Press, 2011) and, "The Deliverance of Others: Reading Literature in a Global Age" (forthcoming from Duke, summer 2012).
