BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

Bush is one great big embarrassment after the other!

* * *

It was a Constitutional outrage when Bush “overstepped his authority” by ordering up a warrantless eavesdropping program by the NSA to monitor Americans' emails and telephone calls without court approval!

* * *

California election questionable!!! Did Bilbray get a little help from his Repuglican friends after all? Did he really “win” the “June 6th Special Election in California’s 50th Congressional District”? Can we trust that our votes are being counted as cast? These are serious questions that need answers before November 2006 especially now that the Cynthia McKinney Georgia primary is also offering up some allegations regarding Diebold black-box vote flip-flopping!

It’s amazing in five and a half long years how real news and “fake” news have reversed positions here in America! Watching Robert Novak do his double talk cover up routine on his disgusting involvement in outing Valerie Plame on Meet the Press had me bent over double in laughter as he stumbled over each new statement to cover up previous statements! Lies beget lies, cover ups beget cover ups, and if we’re really lucky, this one spells the end of the Prince of Darkness! Ohh, for TV airwaves and newsprint ink to be rid of the likes of Robert Novak and his spit spraying opinions!!!

At last there is some justice in this world, “Ralph Reed concedes defeat”!!!

* * *

If our soldiers, living breathing human beings with families and friends, love and care, are sent off to do battle in a preemptive unnecessary war, sacrificing life and limb to save our way of life, why not give embryonic stem cells an opportunity to literally save lives? If war is such a noble cause and it’s honorable to give your life serving your country, why not give embryonic stem cells a chance to attain that same if not higher nobility? It seems to me that using embryonic stem cells to cure disease and prolong life actually gives those cells a chance at life rather than being relegated to a land fill!

An addendum to “Strange how life and death decisions affect someone when it’s personal!!!” Consider the facts here--George Bush sent our sons and daughters to Iraq without the proper equipment, insufficient body armor, insufficient vehicle armor, etc. etc. etc., “the army he had,” so to speak, yet when his nibs traveled to Iraq (all 2 times) it was unannounced, slinking in and out in short order, with every conceivable security measure covered, up to and including the latest in bullet proof vests. Yesssiree bobtail, it’s a whole different ball of wax when it’s his ass on the line!!!

* * *

Err, how is it that using embryonic stem cells to cure illness and prolong existing life is considered murder, but throwing those cells in the garbage is OK? While Bush threatens to veto the research bill, I’d bet if he or any member of his family were in need of a cure resulting from the use of embryonic stem cells George Bush would be willing to exercise “executive privilege” in order to be first in line for treatment! Strange how life and death decisions affect someone when it’s personal!!!
